We are happy to accept BarterCard but please take a moment to
read some information on this page.
It will answer most questions and help you decide how best to use your BarterCard Trade Dollars.
You can always call us I am happy to speak to fellow BarterCard users, but we prefer to make the bookings through the Web page so there is no confusion. |

Rates are the same for everyone regardless of Bartercard use or Cash.
Please note the Small Manual, Small Auto and Economy Autos are not Available on Bartercard
But there is still plenty to choose from,
So you can check out the rates on our Rates Page.
The total invoice cost is fully chargeable to Bartercard.
You will still need to supply Visa, MasterCard or Amex for security and insurance reasons.
Please read the "Insurance Excess Reduction" information below.
The insurance excess is $2,000.00 that is if you return the car with any accident damage we have to charge you the $2,000.00.
You can reduce this excess from $2,000.00 to a max of $500.00 this excess reduction costs $15.00 per day.
It is optional and nothing changes with the conditions of insurance it only reduces your liability.
There are no other charges.
Rental and Insurance Excess reduction are fully tradeable on Bartercard.
You must supply a credit card for security and insurance reasons and
if you have a accident then the amount payable (depending if you take the excess reduction or not)
is on the credit card not Bartercard |
A Credit Card is needed to secure your booking.
By providing a Credit Card Number and details to us you are accepting our terms below.
Nothing will be put on the card at this time
we will process payment on the day you get the car on your Bartercard
If you cancel and give 24hrs+ notice there is no charge
If you Cancel within 24hrs there is a service fee of $15.00
and if you cancel within 12hrs you will be charged a 1 day rental.
Both terms above are on Credit Card details supplied by you. |

There is no Minimum days rentals, but all booking are subject to Availability at the time.

Our Location
Unfortunately Palm Cove Car Rentals do not have a desk at Carins Airport.
We are physically located about 25km's north of the Airport, So if you are staying in Cairns or esle where you will have to get to our office to collect the car.
We suggest that you get a transfer from the Airport to us or your hotel. you can do this on bartercard as well.

If you are staying at Palm Cove or in the general area, consider a transfer bus from the Airport to your hotel, this gives you time to settle into your hotel and relax a bit before getting a car or get droped off directly to our office to collect your car.
Or if you are staying in Port Douglas it is just as easy to stop off on the way and collect your car from here.
Cost is $20.00 per person, $10.00 per child, or $50.00 per family (Max 5) then $10.00 per person.
You can do the same on your return of the car. Don't forget to book a transfer and co-ordinate a time for return and the transfer bus will meet you at our office and drop you off at the airport terminal, no problems with parking just jump out and go. |
